who’s in the bayou?

A large see-through globe will demonstrate the many cultures that have come together to make up our bayou family. Lights will move from the origin of each cultural entity as it winds its way to the bayous of south Louisiana. For example: The Acadians started in France, went through Nova Scotia then the eastern seaboard and finally established residency in the bayou country. There will also be verbal explanations of all cultures and their characteristics that we still see today. Native languages will play another part in this exhibit.“Who’s in the Bayou?” will not only be fun, but also help visitors understand their own genealogy that can be passed on to their children and grandchildren.
